About Me

By this point, you probably know that I’m Jillian and I’m a Peace Corps volunteer. I’m also a recent UCLA graduate. There, I double majored in History and International Development Studies and dabbled in French almost-but-not-quite enough to earn a minor. Although I’ve spent the last 4 years in Los Angeles, I was born and raised near Boston.

I have always loved to travel more than almost anything else, and Peace Corps has been a dream of mine since childhood. Through classes, internships, and dinner table conversations with globally-minded friends, I’ve realized my passion for international development and decided that my childhood dream would also be the perfect start to a career in that field.

When not nerding out about gender in the Global South, I like to hike, take photos, and re-read Harry Potter for the thousandth time. Luckily, these are all pastimes I can continue in Lesotho.

The content of this website is mine alone and does not necessarily reflect the views of the U.S. Government, the Peace Corps, or the government of Lesotho.
